KALL Heatcube: major progress on-site!
Big strides at the site! All main mechanical components are now installed, marking a key milestone in the project. The mechanical phase is advancing rapidly, with piping installation for molten salt and the water/steam system well underway.
Simultaneously, the electrical and instrumentation installation is progressing and insulation and cladding of the molten salt storage tanks are also in full swing, bringing us closer to finalizing key infrastructure.
What’s next? Completing the molten salt piping system – a critical step toward commissioning. Momentum is strong as we accelerate toward industrial decarbonization.
Your guide to sustainable food production
What if every donut you baked came with a price tag for the planet? It does—because of fossil fuels. With food production responsible for 15% of global fossil fuel consumption, decarbonizing isn’t just a choice—it’s a necessity.
Our latest whitepaper, "A 4-Step blueprint for decarbonizing donuts," offers a practical guide to electrifying your operations and reducing emissions without compromising profitability. Whether you’re navigating ESG demands or balancing management expectations, this whitepaper breaks down the complexities into clear, actionable steps.
Discover how to:
- Assess your current emissions and set realistic decarbonization goals.
- Test technical assumptions to avoid costly missteps.
- Build a solid business case with engineering and financial insights.
- Make informed decisions to future-proof your operations.

Industry trends: Decarbonizing the Pharmaceutical sector
The pharmaceutical industry, which accounts for 4% to 5% of global emissions, has a significant need to decarbonize.
Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturing presents a key opportunity, with potential emissions reductions of approximately 90% by 2040. This hinges on strategies like process optimization, green chemistry, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable sourcing.
While a complete transition requires significant investment, many companies are already setting ambitious targets. For example, some are committing to 100% renewable energy by a specific year, while others are focusing on reducing Scope 3 emissions, which include those from their supply chains.
This push aligns with broader industry trends, including increased focus on ESG factors and regulatory scrutiny. Despite challenges like transparency in decarbonization solutions and product carbon footprint tracking, the pharmaceutical sector has a chance to make substantial progress through strategic initiatives.
