By storing excess energy during periods of low demand or high production, thermal storage systems, like Heatcube, can ensure a reliable supply of thermal energy when it is needed, reducing the need for fossil fuels and their associated emissions. We are pleased to be actively involved and collaborating with key players in the storage and renewable energy sectors, united in our mission to empower industries with renewable thermal energy for a world powered by nature.

Making a difference
Europe has set ambitious goals for transitioning to clean and renewable energy sources while significantly reducing carbon emissions.
Thermal Energy Storage (TES) technologies, such as Heatcube, are crucial in this transition. They enable the efficient storage of excess renewable energy from wind and solar sources, making it available during periods of high demand or low renewable generation.
This capability helps stabilize the energy grid, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and accelerate decarbonization efforts.
With Heatcube at Norbis Park in Aalborg, Denmark we have reduced the CO2 emissions, and delivered clean steam to the Aalborg district heating system.
CO2 emissions reduction example
Switching to Heatcube from fossil fuels reduces CO2 emissions annually by 1,000 to 14,000 tons, depending on the type of fuel replaced (e.g., natural gas, coal, diesel).

Winners of Energy Transition Changemakers award at the COP28
The Energy Transition Changemakers award is based on the innovation and scalability of approaches used to overcome project barriers. The initiative aims to foster private sector collaboration in delivering innovative and scalable decarbonization projects globally and demonstrate solutions to help enable and accelerate the energy transition.
Kyoto Group won the award for Heatcube, our groundbreaking thermal energy storage system that enables the decarbonization of industrial process heat.
At Kyoto we focus on two of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals:
