Kyoto Group, a leader in thermal energy storage, today announced that Morten Bülow will succeed Camilla Nilsson as Chief Executive Officer.
“Morten’s proven track record in building new markets, transforming technical sales and his operational capabilities will be critical as we expand our market presence and advance Kyoto’s mission of decarbonizing industrial heat.” says Lars Villadsen, partner at Glentra Capital, Kyoto Group’s majority owner.
Morten Bülow brings nearly 20 years of international leadership experience from Vestas and SCADA International, having successfully built and scaled international operations.
His extensive experience includes serving as General Manager - Complex Sales and Business Development at SCADA International, based in the United States.
“I’m excited to join the Kyoto team in a phase where we focus on scaling fast by locking in further sales based on our game-changing heat storage technology. In doing so, I intend to leverage my background in breaking market barriers and scaling solutions within the industrial energy transition space,” says Morten Bülow.
Morten Bülow succeeds Camilla Nilsson, who has held the CEO position since December 2021.
“Camilla’s leadership over the past years has been instrumental in positioning Kyoto as an industry leader. Under her guidance, we have achieved significant milestones, particularly in putting Heatcube on the map. We are very thankful for her dedication and contribution,” says Lars Villadsen.
Kyoto Group has developed Heatcube, an innovative thermal energy storage solution that integrates both heat generation and storage. By storing energy from intermittent renewable energy sources, industrial customers can reduce both their process heat production costs and CO2 emissions, eliminating the need for fossil fuels.
